Greg Bunch
Greg Bunch draws on a wealth of experience as an entrepreneur, general manager, consultant, civic leader and teacher. He is the founder and president of Masterplan International Corporation, a strategy consulting firm. He also was a partner at Brandtrust, a brand strategy consultancy.
Greg works with Fortune 50 companies, family businesses and start-ups in the areas of innovation and strategy. He has worked with a broad array of companies, including Abbott Labs, American Express, Danaher, Dover, ETS, Harley-Davidson, Hewlett-Packard, Kimberly-Clark, McDonalds, PepsiCo and Yum! Brands. He has served on corporate boards for financial services, healthcare, retail, franchising and marketing firms.
Greg is a co-founder of Oration, a software start-up based in Silicon Valley. Oration provides large self-insured employers and their employees with an easy-to-use interface to obtain healthcare items such as drugs and durable medical equipment.
He also was an alderman in the City of West Chicago, serving on the infrastructure, public safety and development committees.
Greg holds the position of Adjunct Professor of Entrepreneurship at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, where he teaches a course called New Venture Strategy in the MBA program. In the Executive Education program he teaches courses on corporate strategy, customer creation strategy, innovation and M&A. In addition, he has lectured nationally and internationally on topics related to strategy, innovation and customer development.
He earned a bachelor’s degree in philosophy from Wheaton College and a master of divinity degree from Harvard University.
Greg and his wife have two married children, three grandsons and one black lab named Buddy. In the summer, he enjoys teaching people how to surf on Lake Michigan.
